We finally arrive in Ponta Delgada (Asores Island) Portugal.

The island is gorgeous, but no real reason to stay longer than a few hours.

Internet is hit and miss, so will add information on this port later.

Visit one of the Azores' oldest towns and explore its narrow, cobblestone streets. Pineapples thrive in the island's rich volcanic soil. WHAT YOU VISIT
Ribeira Grande - Explore the oldest town on Sao Miguel's north coast, strolling its narrow, cobblestone lanes and admiring its many 16th-, 17th- and 18th-century buildings.

Pineapple Greenhouse - Harbored in greenhouses, pineapples thrive on the rich volcanic soil and are a major island crop. Visit a pineapple greenhouse and see firsthand how the fruit are cultivated and marketed.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Pica Da Barrosa - This scenic overlook offers stunning views of Fire Lake. Lying in an ancient volcanic caldera, the lake is often cloaked in swirling mists.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Board your motorcoach for the drive to Pico Da Barossa, traveling country roads lined with flowers and passing green meadows. Continue on to Ribeira Grande. Your return route passes by the villages of Remedios and Lagao.
